Wierdness

I am laughing even as I write this. I purposely put this in my room so no one would know how really silly I am, but now I'm deciding to put it on my blog. Ry and I are SO excited. I have never been on a vacation like this before. Ryan and I are going on a Carribean Cruise after he graduates with his Master's and I made a paper chain to help me count down the days. Juvenile, I know, but it makes me so happy!

Happy Birthday to me!

I have a little confession to make. I don't really like the paint color in my bedroom. We can't really change it either until we're ready to get new bedroom furniture and who knows how long that will be (since I've been living in my house for 3 years and still don't have any front room furniture). It's not that I don't like what I already have, it's just too ginormous for our bedroom. I have tried several different bed spreads to make the color more bearable. I FINALLY found one for my birthday. So, just in case you were wondering what I got for my birthday...

Handy Manny

The boys were pretending to be Handy Manny and thought it was so cool to put pencils on their ears. What a cute moment, I had to get pictures.

Decorating

I have this little shoe rack by my front door and I've been meaning to try to get cute little decorations for the seasons for years but it seems so overwhelming. So I decided to start with just this little section in my house. Every year I plan on adding something new and hopefully eventually I will be able to make my house cute for every holiday. This was my Saint Patrick's Day display. The star was a paper mache box I found at hobby lobby for about $4. I painted the box white and put the four leaf clover on it. The letters I also got from Hobby Lobby. Love that store! It's uplifting to know I'm finally achieving my goals. I'm also working on a FAMILY craft that will be put next to my family pictures on my newly painted walls (when I finally get around to getting those done).
